Avoord – high-quality healthcare provider
Avoord is a high-quality healthcare provider with various locations in Etten-Leur, Rijsbergen, and Zundert. They have over 1,200 dedicated employees and 600 volunteers in their team. Their focus is on providing excellent care with a unique vision: "Everyone matters." They do this for all elderly people, including those in the most vulnerable period of their lives. A wonderful company with strong core values.
The Warm Heart – the meeting place
Avoord De Willaert's 'Het Warm Hart' in Zundert is a meeting place where all clients and residents can eat, play billiards, play cards, and attend activities.
It also serves as the perfect place for family and friends to visit. After all these years, this space was in need of a new look. Avoord asked us to transform 'Het Warm Hart' into a warm, atmospheric, and cozy space where everyone feels at home.
A structured approach
The first step for a project is to identify the wishes and requirements. How do we do this? By scheduling an appointment on location at Het Warm Hart. This gives us a good idea of the location we will be working on.
We then schedule an appointment at our showroom to discuss the options. This allows us to review all of the customer's preferences for the basic products.
The requirements: accessibility, flexibility, and a homely feel
Our interior consultant Faye was called in to create a unique and suitable design in combination with color advice for the walls. Avoord had a few specific wishes and requirements for the new design:
- The tables had to be suitable for wheelchairs to be pulled up to them.
- Easy-to-clean seat upholstery
- A flexible layout, suitable for various purposes
- Sturdy, yet easy-to-move furniture
- The whole thing had to have a cozy, warm, and homely feel.
- And the space had to be furnished with plants and a natural look.
The challenges and a unique design
Every project brings its own unique challenges. In addition to the various requirements, we had to ensure that the bar and floor fit into the overall design, and approval was needed from several committees.
To create a perfect and clear picture of the new space, Faye presented a 3D drawing. This gave Avoord an overall picture of all the necessary accessories and decorations, ensuring that it would have the desired look and feel.
Faye incorporated all of the requirements into the design. Only a few adjustments were necessary. The committees then gave their unanimous approval. In short, it was a huge success!
Complete delivery in just one day!
We agreed on a delivery date with Avoord. This presented a logistical challenge because the space could not be closed off for several days... But with good planning and cooperation from the suppliers, we managed to get it done in a single day!
We were therefore present ourselves to help and ensure that everything went according to plan. It was particularly nice to see the thumbs up we received from the residents.
The result: a truly ‘Warm Heart’
This project took approximately four months to complete, from the initial consultation to delivery. Avoord was extremely pleased and proud of the result. An opening party was organized to celebrate. During the event, many compliments were given about the newly designed meeting place. This also made us feel proud, as this is a crucial space for everyone: employees, clients, family, and friends.
Truly a 'Warm Heart' and a project we look back on with pride. We were able to realize this successful project in collaboration with Sylvia Huijbregts and Ronald van der Laag from Avoord.
